I’m a 28 year old guy from all over the world (military brat) who taught himself about investing. I’m not a millionaire, I don’t drive a fancy car or live in a huge expensive house. But I do have a beautiful wife, precious daughter, great friends, and a job that I love doing.
I am a former athlete and soldier. I enjoyed my time in the military as it gave me a lot of useful tools for life and more importantly an appreciation for life more than I had before I joined the military.
I have always been fascinated with money and finances but never took any formal training or schooling. I found school very boring and mundane, every second I spent in class or studying was time away from the things I could be enjoying.
During the 2008 financial crisis I saw numerous friends and family members devastated by the stock market and real estate crash. Individuals who I saw as very wealthy no longer had jobs and their net worth literally shrunk by over 50%. It was then and there that I decided to never let someone else dictate my financial future.
I spent the next couple of years scouring websites, seminars, and college courses trying to learn how to properly invest. It was a long stressful trying journey but by the end of it I realized that you cannot get rich quick investing in stocks. I’ve tried everything from penny stocks to daytrading and made thousands of dollars along the way, only to lose a significant amount later on. Take it from someone who’s been a sucker, don’t waste your time or money.
It wasn’t until later when I found a great mentor that I realized to stick with the basics and from this I developed a system that I call “Brick by Brick Investing.”
Why Brick by Brick investing?
The Roman Emperor Hadrian, when asked how Rome would be rebuilt after a devastating fire, replied: “Brick by brick, my citizens; brick by brick.”
That is how I plan to build my empire, brick by brick, one stock at a time through a dedicated process of identifying superior dividend paying businesses using a value based approach. My focus is on stock analysis, dividend & value education, and developing a positive winning attitude in life.
Why listen to me?
To sum it up, I make up for a profound lack of talent & “formal” education by never giving up, working hard, and staying honest.
You won’t get any hard sells from me, long sales pages or fluffed up junk – I will let my performance speak for itself.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope to see you on the blog sometime soon!
